Flock is a license plate tracking camera system that both Cleve. Hts. and Shaker Hts. have contracts with. It is dangerous for immigrant rights because it facilitates mass surveillance, enabling federal immigration authorities (ICE/Border Patrol) to bypass local sanctuary city policies and track undocumented immigrants, often without warrants. Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights both spend lost of money on contracts with Flock. Learn about Flock, why we must terminate these harmful contracts, why just limiting formal or front door access to our data to ICE will not keep us safe ultimately, and organize to terminate these contracts in our cities.
