Doctors for Immigrant Camp Closure is a relatively new national organization that made the national news on 12/9/19 when they tried to bring the flu vaccine to immigrant detainees in San Diego and were turned away at the gate. Several physicians were arrested. D4CC is a non-partisan organization of over 2,000 physicians and healthcare professionals from all specialties who oppose the inhumane detention of migrants and refugees who are attempting to enter the U.S.
Dr. Joan Lederer is convening an initial meeting to launch a Cleveland D4CC group at her home at 1819 Cadwell Avenue in Cleveland Heights on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at 7 pm. Snacks will be provided. If a number of people need childcare, please let her know. Spouses, relatives, significant others are all welcome. FYI, her house has cats and dogs for those with allergies.
