The Cleveland NETWORK Advocates Team invites you to join us for a prayer walk to support our immigrant neighbors and oppose funding for detention and deportation in the Budget Reconciliation bill!
We will gather at Perk Plaza (at the corner of E. 12th and Walnut St.) for opening remarks. We will then begin our walk together--stopping briefly outside of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, at Public Square, and outside of the Federal Court House (and office of Senator Moreno). At each of our stops, we will pause briefly for a time of song, prayer, reflection, and scripture. Finally, we will return to St. John the Evangelist, where we will gather outside and conclude our time together.
The walking route is about 1.5 miles or 40 minutes with an additional 5 minutes at each of the three stops.
We encourage everyone to bring water and stay hydrated throughout the event!
We also encourage folks to bring signs in support of our immigrant neighbors and opposing funding for detention and deportations. We appreciate you keeping the messages on your signs respectful and reflective of the prayerful nature of the event.
